Pharmacy Administrator

A new opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Administrator to join our onsite Prescription Services function at our Head Office in Burton. As you a high quality administrator, your role will be to support the continued growth of the business by providing a customer and patient focused service whist ensuing prescriptions are efficiently and effectively processed. You will help enhance the efficiency of pharmacy operations by helping resolve non-medical queries and working closely with Pharmacists to support their workload planning.

What does a Pharmacy Administrator do at Healthcare at Home?

  • As an experienced administrator, you will ensure that all prescriptions are put on the relevant IT system and endorsed in an efficient and timely manner, undertaking details checks to ensure all relevant information is listed using your keen eye for detail.
  • You will raise documents understand investigation where there is any missing or incorrect information, following up on any issues until these are resolved.
  • You will liaise with patients, hospitals, doctors and our on site pharmacists to answer questions and queries effectively or transferring them on when appropriate.
  • Enhancing the departmental efficiencies by assisting in answering phones and emails, opening and sorting mail, handling any non-medical queries, and supporting colleagues when required.

Salary: £18,441.50

Hours: Monday to Friday - rotating shifts of 8am - 4.30pm and 9.30am - 6pm 

 

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

As a successful candidate you will be able to effectively use your administrative experience when priortising and managing a heavy workload. You will have strong attention to detail, and will work in a very organised and systematic manner in order to process prescriptions through quickly and solve any arising issues.

You will be confident in building relationships with customers and patients, with fantastic communication and customer service skills. The patients will be in the forefront of your mind and you will put their needs first in this role, so you will be passionate about delivering positive results and finding solutions to problems.

This is a patient focused role, so you will be confident in working in a customer focused environment and are comfortable dealing with sensitive issues. You will also have proven experience of inputting data with high levels of accuracy into databases and dealing with a lot of new information.
