Logistics Night Shift Assistant

A new opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Night Shift Assistant to join our Sevenoaks depot on a full time basis. The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of duties to aid the Night Shift Lead Driver in the performance of their depot management and operational responsibilities over the departments night shifts.

What does a Logistics Assistant do at Healthcare at Home?

  • You will assist in preparing the depot for the daily dispatch, including preparing all equipment, completing all dispatch paperwork and recording all notes and details on the daily dispatch sheet
  • Reallocate routes and or/ vehicles when needed and update the system in the event of a vehicle failure or driver no show
  • Assist the night shift supervisor with the maintenance scheduling and compliance management
  • Support with administrative procedures, such as printing manifests, completing spreadsheets and logs, checking and scanning, and ensuring correct paperwork is completed and filed where necessary

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

You will enjoy working as part of a wider team but confident using your initiative and taking ownership of your own workload. You will be highly organized and an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Your “whatever it takes” attitude means you have a dedicated and flexible approach to work, and you are confident working to deadlines in an occasionally high-pressured environment.

Some experience in a warehouse environment is desirable, and a sound and practical working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages is essential. You will also have a full driving license.

  • £21,590.40 per annum
  • 48 hours per week: Night shifts 22:00 – 06:30, Monday to Friday (last shift ending Saturday morning)
