What does a Children’s Homecare Nurse do at healthcare at home?
Offer quality nursing that is tailored to the child’s needs. Ensuring all professional standards are excelled and relevant care plans are delivered.
You will be treating patients with a wide range of conditions including growth hormone and biologic treatments for conditions such as juvenile arthritis, chrohns disease and psoriasis.
You will manage your own daily workload whilst maintaining stock, supplies and equipment.
All clinical data will be recorded accurately to ensure quality care is maintained and delivered, and any adverse affects reported via the correct protocol.
You will maintain and demonstrate up to date knowledge, ensuring any gaps in clinical competency are addressed whilst also staying compliant with all business policies and procedures.
What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?
Registered Sick Children’s Nurse
Competent in the administration of IV therapies.
Strong communication skills, including actively listening, communicating sensitively and putting people at ease whilst making technical details easy to understand.
As this is a regional role travelling to visit patients in their home setting, therefore it is crucial that you have a full UK driving licence.
