As a business, we continue to invest in our estate to ensure we have the best infrastructure, in the right place, enabling us to continue to deliver an outstanding service to our patients.
The opening of our 11,275 sq. ft. clinical distribution centre (CDC) in Southampton is our latest investment helping to meet our ambition to be even better. Located just a few miles outside of Southampton, the facility contains a warehouse, drivers’ office, welfare room, communal space and meeting/training rooms.
Head of Warehouse and Distribution, Gary Milne, said: “The new CDC in Southampton is pivotal to us providing a great service for our patients within the region.” When looking at the location we extensively modelled our patients’ requirements along with the best location from a route, service and cost perspective.
This new addition to our estate supports our medium and long-term objectives and will help us meet the needs of our clients and patients much more effectively.” The facility is both Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) compliant, meaning it has met the criteria to be operational and licensed.
